People who make videos about travel died on July 17 when they fell into a gorge while filming near the Kumbhe waterfalls in the Mangaon district of Raigad.
The person who died has been named as Aanvi Kamdar, who is 26 years old and lives in Mumbai. Ms. Kamdar liked making reels and was a trip influencer.
She and her friends went to the waterfalls to enjoy the wet season.
She was taking pictures and movies of the waterfall when her leg gave out, and she fell into a gorge that was 350 feet deep.
As soon as the Sahyadri Wildlife Conservation Society and Mangaon police officers heard about what happened, they went to the scene of the crime with the rescue teams.
Somnath Gharge, Superintendent of Police for Raigad, said that the woman who fell into the gorge was still alive and was saved. But she died during the process.
“Big rocks kept falling on us as we went down to save the woman from the gorge.” It looked like the woman wasn’t living at first. But when I got closer, I saw that she was breathing, which proved that she was still living. She was taken to the hospital right away. “But she died while being treated,” Somnath Gharge said.
After taking stock of the situation, the recovery operation began.

A 26-year-old Instagram star died when she fell into a gorge at Kumbhe waterfall, which is near Raigad in Maharashtra. Authorities say that Aanvi Kamdar, who lived in Mumbai, fell into a 300-foot gorge while filming a movie.
On July 16, Aanvi hit the road with seven friends to go see the waterfall. Around 10:30 this morning, Aanvi fell into a deep crack while they were filming a video, which turned the trip into a tragedy.
The emergency was quickly handled by the local officials, and a rescue team was sent right to the scene. The Coast Guard, the Kolad rescue team, and the staff of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board were asked to help more.
We saw that the girl had dropped about 300 to 350 feet as soon as we got there. When they got to her, it was hard to get her up because she was hurt and it was pouring down rain. “So we used a vertical pulley to get her out,” a savior told NDTV.
Six hours of work were put into saving Aanvi and getting her out of the gorge safely. She died soon after being taken to the Managaon sub-district hospital, though, because she was hurt so badly in the fall.
Following the incident, the Tehsildar and the Managaon police inspector sent out a call to both tourists and locals. They told everyone to enjoy travel in a safe way and to put safety first while visiting the Sahyadri ranges. They stressed how important it was to stay away from dangerous behaviors that could put lives at risk.
