As heavy rains hit areas of Telangana, more than 100 villages are submerged and 99 trains are canceled
As many as 99 trains were canceled and over 100 villages were submerged on Sunday due to the persistent heavy rains that pounded Telangana.
MR. Revanth Reddy, the chief minister, convened an emergency conference with ministers, officials, and elected members to assess the current state of affairs.
Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar claimed that NDRF teams had been sent to the state under the home minister’s directives, and he had briefed Amit Shah.
Rainwater also entered houses in various areas as streets continued to remain flooded, and waterlogged roads resulted in massive traffic jams.
The situation continues to be grim with close to 110 villages submerged under the floodwaters in Telangana and Andhra CM Naidu seeking Centre’s help to carry out rescue operations.

A woman lost her life, and three others are feared to have been washed away in separate rain-related incidents in Mahabubabad and Khammam districts on Sunday.

According to an official release, Reddy reviewed the situation in the affected areas and spoke to ministers Bhatti Vikramarka, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Damodara Raja Narasimha, and Jupalli Krishna Rao .
over telephone and enquired about the relief operations in the submerged areas.
Hyderabad schools to remain shut on September 2:

In view of the heavy rains likely to occur in Hyderabad district, all the primary and secondery schools, whether Government, Aided or Private are declared as holiday on September 2, as a precautionary measure to safeguard the children, the officials said.
Red alert issued till Monday morning:
It has issued a red warning for the next several hours, foreseeing very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in isolated areas of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Kamareddy, and Mahabubnagar districts in Telangana from 1.00pm Sunday to 8.30am on Monday.

‘NDRF teams already in action’:
BJPs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that following instructions from the central government, the NDRF team began taking action in the flood-affected areas. At Hon’ble HM’s instructions, 9 NDRF teams-three each from Chennai, Visakhapatnam and Assam-are being sent to Telangana.
Spoke with senior NDRF officials regarding coordination of the rescue efforts. Also, discussed the situation and the ongoing rescue operations with Revenue Minister Shri Ponguleti Srinivasa reddy garu. Urged NDRF teams to coordinate and conduct relief operations effectively. PM spoke to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Chandrababu Naidu, and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and enquired about the situation in these states arising out of heavy rains and Floods. He assured him that all possible assistance would be provided by the Centre to meet the challenge.
