While all is going on, the release of Dunki also signals the beginning of the much-anticipated box office fight in the country. The film starring Shah Rukh Khan will compete against Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which is starring Prabhas. Sacnilk, a company that tracks the industry, stated that Salaar’s Day 1 business has reached Rs 18.54 crore with pre-sales. This is in contrast to Dunki, a comedy-drama, which has already made Rs 11.46 crore from advance bookings. In contrast to Salaar, which is to be released in a number of different languages, Dunki is exclusively available in the Hindi language.

Earlier this week, Shah Rukh Khan was spotted in Dubai promoting the film Dunki, which is scheduled to be released soon. There are other films that have surfaced on social media platforms that belong to SRK’s fan clubs. In these videos, the actor can be seen re-creating his characteristic posture with his arms extended in the air while he is doing the drone show in Dubai. In a boat on Burj Lake, Shah Rukh was seen wearing a black casual attire that was matched with a red jacket. He was also seen wearing a red jacket. Not only was SRK there at the promotional event, but also Rajkumar Hirani, the director of the film, and Abhijat Joshi, the writer of the film, were also there.

Singer Shaan shared via X, “Good Morning !!! Aaj #Dunki Day hai … im super excited!! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT !! I’m sure Everyone is Going to love the Movie !!! I just want to clear the air about why my song was not part of the film .. the song, a beautiful breezy duet ( with @shreyaghoshal) “Durr kahi Durr” was recorded and also picturised in Kashmir .. but on the edit table .. it was #RajuHirani ‘s call to drop the song .. (after a lot of contemplation.. ) He was very transparent about it with me.. and I really appreciate that.. and I fully understand that the Film is top priority. Hopefully You will get to hear the Song in His Future Project .. but not in #Dunki .. 🤗❤️🙏.”

A user @YashSRK17 shared via X, “INTERVAL. The 1st Half is beyond too good. Easily a 5/5. Probably Vicky Kaushal’s career-best performance at par with Masaan. It is a roller-coaster ride of emotions for sure, ending with a perfect build-up for the 2nd half. #DunkiReview.”

PVR pictures CEO Kam Gianchandani reacts to reports about Salaar makers refusing to release film in certain PVR Inox outlets amid clash with Dunki: “Normally, we try to keep Producers related matters to ourself. But this is one of those times for us to share our point of view. We have come across some absurd internet posts regarding unfair showcasing practices at PVRINOX. No one has greater respect and appreciation for all the Producers releasing their films in our theatres than all of us at PVRINOX. Commercial disagreements is par for the course with big films releasing on the same date. Not the first time. Won’t be the last time. Everything will fall in place soon. Please put these ridiculous theories to bed (sic).
