In an interview with India Today, Hrithik Roshan’s personal trainer Kris Gethin discussed the actor’s exercise regimen that helped him develop the toned body he will be sporting in the upcoming movie Fighter. Co-starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, Fighter features Hrithik as an Indian Air Force pilot – Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania aka Patty.

Regarding Hrithik’s training regimen, Kris Gethin informed the portal that a lot depends on whether the actor is filming day or night. When filming takes place during the day, the actor-trainer team begins work as early as 5 or 6 am. After eating breakfast, Hrithik spends forty-five minutes working out.

“The average workout lasts around an hour. Although it’s brief, it’s intense and very challenging. Weight training usually takes place five days a week, contingent on the sleep schedule of actor Hritik Roshan. Kris continued, “Hrithik’s night-time is around 9pm, and not later than that.”

The fitness trainer said that exercises like swimming, ellipticals, stairmaster rowers, and running could be used for that. Kris stated that periodically “changing up” the cardio routine is crucial.

The actor eats egg whites, chicken, whey protein, fish, and “sources of complex carbohydrates like oats, quinoa, rice, and sweet potatoes,” according to Kris Gethin. Hrithik “usually has 6-7 meals in intervals,” according to Kris, but if he is unable to eat as frequently, he drinks shakes instead. Generally speaking, though, he tries to eat whole foods whenever possible.
