Kareena Kapoor has expressed her wish to tell her younger self that she would’marry her sister’s co-star’.

The older sister of Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, collaborated with her husband Saif Ali Khan on the films Hum Saath – Saath Hain (1999) and Yeh Dillagi (1994).
What Kareena Kapoor would have told her younger self is that she would have married her sister’s co-star and had two children with him. Saif has featured alongside Kareena Kapoor in a few movies as her older sister Karisma Kapoor. In 2012, Kareena and Saif exchanged vows. At the Netflix India Actors Roundtable, Kareena was asked what advice she would give her younger self when she was first starting out. She replied, “I wish someone told me that you’re going to marry your sister’s co-star and have children with him.” Everyone at the table burst out laughing at her response.

“Main apni favourite hoon, faourite thi, aur favourite rahungi,” is what Kareena would tell her younger self, Sidharth Malhotra said, alluding to the famous line from Imtiaz Ali’s 2009 hit romantic comedy, Jab We Met.

Kareena laughed heartily and responded, “But we were already dating,” when Sidharth questioned her at the roundtable about her sultry kiss scene with Saif Ali Khan in Rensil D’Silva’s 2009 crime movie Kurbaan. We had an audition. That therefore turned out nicely. It was a “private audition,” Kajol joked, for the couple.

When it comes to Kajol, she starred in Naresh Malhotra’s romantic comedy Yeh Dillagi (1994), which starred Saif and Akshay Kumar. In the film’s conclusion, Karisma Kapoor made a brief appearance as Saif’s romantic interest. In addition to Yeh Dillagi, Karisma and Saif are well-known for their roles opposite one another in the popular family drama Hum Saath – Saath Hain, directed by Sooraj Barjatya in 1999.

While working on the 2008 crime drama Tashan, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Kareena and Saif got together in 2007. After that, they shared a leading role in the spy thriller Agent Vinod (2012), directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Kurbaan. The couple was married in the same year and had two children, Taimur Ali Khan in 2016 and Jeh aka Jehangir Ali Khan in 2021.

Kareena will appear in The Buckingham Murders, The Crew, and Singham Again, while Saif’s next film appearance will be in Devara. Karisma can also be seen in Murder Mubarak and Brown.
