Kriti Sanon recently explored the continuing cinematic legacy of Bollywood as well as the ways in which theaters are finding their footing again after a period of stagnation. In response to the assertion made by businessman Nikhil Kamath in his podcast that the Hindi cinema industry is on the verge of collapse, the actor provided his response. Kriti defended the motion picture industry by pointing out that the expectations that audiences have coming from the cinema have also escalated in the modern era.
Bollywood is prospering once more, according to Kriti Sanon and Badhshah.
In response to Nikhil’s assertion that the movie industry in Bollywood has experienced a drop in success and is having difficulty employing as many people as it did in the past, Kriti expressed divergent opinions.
In her presentation, she cited the films Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya as reference films. As she continued to elaborate on her viewpoints, she stated, “In the past, if a film earned one hundred crore rupees, it would be a significant achievement.” Currently, a sum of ₹100 crore is insignificant. As a result, the expectation has taken place in a different location.
The Bollywood industry went through a period in which it was not growing, but now theaters are back, and how is that happening? Badshah, a rapper and musician who was also a guest on the show, shared the impression that the actor from Do Patti was correct. He pondered the ways in which people in Bollywood have grown as a result of the difficult experiences they have been through and are now thriving.
Performing arts career of Kriti Sanon
Through the film Nennokadine (2014), Kriti made her debut in the acting world opposite Mahesh Babu. Heroespanti (2014), in which she starred alongside Tiger Shroff, was her debut Bollywood project. In following years, she had appearances in well-known Hindi films such as Dilwale, Raabta, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi, and Mimi. In addition, she appeared in the films Bhediya, Shehzada, Adipurush, and Ganapath. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Crew, two of her most recent releases, were both commercially successful singles.
Next up for Kriti Sanon is the upcoming mystery crime thriller Do Patti, which will be directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi. Kriti will reprise her role in the film. In addition, Kajol, Shaheer Sheikh, and Tanvi Azmi also play significant roles in the film. Scriptwriter Kanika Dhillon is responsible for the film’s script.
Both Kriti and Kanika have recently formed their separate labels, Blue Butterfly Films and Kathha Pictures, and Do Patti is the first production that they have produced amongst them. The date on which the movie will be released has not yet been disclosed. Netflix is going to start offering it as a streaming service very soon.
