Since these movies do not have those hero elevations and fighting sequences most of the leading heroes love, it is very rarely that a big star ventures into this genre of horror-comedy.
On the other hand, in 2005, Rajinikanth boldly stepped forward by acting in Chandramukhi, a horror comedy movie where he played a psychiatrist.
Though she knew that Jyothika would be the protagonist, Rajini agreed to do the film. That gamble paid off, and the movie did turn out to be a huge hit.
Now, Prabhas, touted to be one of India’s biggest stars, is all set to be seen in a romantic horror comedy titled The Raja Saab.
The film has an ensemble cast consisting of Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Jisshu Sengupta, and Brahmanandam. The production is by People Media Factory and the music is by SS Thaman.
The mass entertainer would be made available for release on April 10 of the next year in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
What remains to be confirmed is whether the starring star of the show is Prabhas alone or whether he will share with fellow actors in this venture.
If there is one thing for sure, it’s going to be a huge sigh of relief for many fans who want to see Prabhas back in his elements as that gorgeous-looking, suave hero he was in Darling, Mirchi, and Mr. Perfect.
