Stree 2 worldwide box office collection day 5: This Independence Day, Bollywood witnessed the release of three big films but it was the horror-comedy flick Stree 2 that grabbed the maximum momentum at the box office. Other releases of the week such as Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa were left far behind. According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the Amar Kaushik directorial has raked in ₹322.5 crore worldwide in five days.

According to the portal, Stree 2’s five days’ gross collection was ₹275.5 crore in India and ₹47 crore abroad. The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-starrer is expected to cross ₹350 crore worldwide on day 6. With its first week, that’s about to get wrapped up, all eyes will be on Stree 2 as to how far this box office juggernaut is going to roll.
About Stree 2
Stree 2 consists of a bunch of friends led by Rajkummar Rao’s Vicky, a tailor, and an unknown lady played by Shraddha Kapoor. The villainous Sarkata raises their town of Chanderi to ruins. In pivotal roles, the film stars Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana. The horror-comedy sequel has long been awaited, coming straight from the 2018 Stree, produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan.

A bit of the Hindustan Times movie review of Stree 2 read, “Let’s talk about what fuels the film – the humour. Niren Bhatt keeps the pace in check, with the first half quite excellent. The jokes just don’t stop coming, and that’s exactly what the viewers are looking for. It’s naughty, it’s original. After a point, it isn’t the joke alone which lands. It’s the sheer talented bunch who make Stree 2 what it is, led by an able Rajkummar Rao.
He gets it all so correct that you forget for a moment that he’s the same guy who, just this year, played a specially abled businessman in Srikanth or a frustrated ex-cricketer in Mr and Mrs Mahi.
