Fighter, which would see Siddharth Anand return precisely a year after his hit movie Pathaan, is being hailed as India’s biggest aerial-action drama. The common thread between the two movies is Deepika Padukone, who will be starring opposite Hrithik for the first time. The main cast of The Fighter—Hrithik Roshan as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, aka Patty, Deepika Padukone as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, aka Minni, and Anil Kapoor as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, aka Rocky—was first revealed to the public in the film’s teaser last year. In a statement, Siddharth Anand discussed the same topic and said, “The song Heer Aasmani is dedicated to the unique Squad of Air Dragons uniting. The song shows how the crew gets along during downtime as well as briefings and training sessions. Heer Aasmani’s central theme is an Air Force pilot expressing their unwavering passion and love for the skies—a love so pure that it is nearly incomprehensible to people on the ground.”
