Madhuri Dixit Nene is looking for films that can have a positive impact on the audience.

According to Madhuri Dixit Nene, she is eager to work in the film industry since she believes that films with a significant message have a great impact on the audience.

In her second innings, the superstar of the 1990s Hindi film industry, who is best known for films like “Dil,” “Saajan,” “Hum Aapke Hain Koun!” and “Dil To Pagal Hai,” has appeared in films such as “Aaja Nachle,” “Bucket List,” “Dedh Ishqiya,” and “Maja Ma.”

“I’m looking for films and roles that are different to do, yet those that create an impact on the audience and make them think,” the actor said in an interview with the Pakistan Telecommunications Institute (PTI).

Superstition and the fear of death are two of the topics that are addressed in her most recent Marathi film, “Panchak,” which she has also produced.

“As soon as I finished reading the script for ‘Panchak,’ I fell in love with it because it offered a fresh perspective on superstition through the medium of comedy. “We are trying to convey the message that you should not be afraid of life and that you should maintain a balanced outlook,” she stated.

When Madhuri was asked about her film “Mrityudand,” which she released in 1997, she stated that many people in the industry had encouraged her not to make the film because it was not a commercially successful entertainment.

The film, which was directed by Prakash Jha and also featured Shabana Azmi, Shilpa Shirodkar, and Om Puri, was a commentary on societal and gender inequity, and Madhuri believes that it presented her with a challenge as an actor.”When I was working on ‘Mrityudand,’ a lot of people responded to me by asking, ‘You are a commercial film heroine; why are you working on this art house film?'” There were those who attempted to stop me from doing it, but I went ahead and did it because I was in love with the screenplay.

The “demarcation between art house and commercial cinema” is something that Madhuri explained she has never been able to comprehend.

As far as we are concerned, acting is acting; it’s just a new way of expressing ourselves, and the manner in which it is performed is too. My discussion of the movie “Mrityudand” was a very enjoyable experience. As an actor, I have never been afraid of the decisions I make. My convictions and my instincts led me to make this decision.

An ensemble cast that includes Kothare, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Bharati Achrekar, Anand Ingale, Tejashri Pradhan, Satish Alekar, Nandita Patkar, Sampada Kulkarni, and Deepti Devi is featured in the film “Panchak,” which was directed by Rahul Awate and Jayant Jathar.

This film features some of the most talented actors from the worlds of film, television, and theater, and the casting is really intriguing. “I found the movie to be interesting because it is set in the Konkan region. My parents are from the Konkan region of India, and we used to go to Ratnagiri quite frequently. We would climb trees and eat mangoes. I felt like I had seen all of these characters there, and they are so relatable,” she exclaimed.

Both Madhuri and her husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, are responsible for the production of the film “Panchak,” which was released in theaters on January 5.
