Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party, issued a challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 8 to request that an investigation be conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED). This came after Mr. Modi had accused the Congress party of having a connection with “Ambani and an Adani.”
During his speech at an election rally in Telangana, Mr. Modi inquired as to whether or not the Congress had been given “tempo loads of black money” by the two businessmen since Mr. Gandhi had stopped “abusing” them and had gone silent.
With the intention of retaliating against Mr. Modi, Mr. Gandhi published a video in which he posed the question of whether or not collecting money in tempos was “a personal experience” and said that the Prime Minister seemed “a little scared.”
The Prime Minister stated that the Congress owed an answer to the people of the nation for why it has stopped highlighting the subject of Ambani and Adani. He made this statement while addressing an electoral conference in Vemulawada, which is a well-known temple town in the state of Telangana. Although he did not name Mr. Gandhi, he stated that the Congress’ “Shehzada” (prince) had been known to scream the names of “five industrialists” in order to disseminate false narratives against the BJP during the course of the previous five years. However, he stated that they had stopped doing so after the elections were declared.
“I would like to inquire from the land of Telangana, and I would like the Shehzada to divulge the amount of money that has been taken from Ambani-Adani. Has a substantial amount of money been delivered to the Congress? What kind of agreement has been reached, that the practice of mistreating Ambani and Adani has ceased overnight? The question was posed by Mr. Modi.
Rahul Gandhi
“There is no doubt that something is fishy. They mistreated Adani-Ambani for a period of five years, and then all of a sudden, it stopped. It indicates that you have been given a substantial amount of ‘chori ka maal’ (also known as loot).”You are obligated to answer the nation,” the Prime Minister said. “Kaale dhan ki kitni boriya bharkar ke rupaye maare hai” translates to “how many sacks of black money have you taken.”
In a video that lasted for forty-six seconds and was uploaded to X (which was then known as Twitter), Mr. Gandhi posed the question of whether or not Mr. Modi was speaking from his “personal experience” regarding the sending of money by businessmen. “Modi ji, do you feel a little bit shaken up? Adani and Ambani are topics that you typically discuss behind closed doors; nevertheless, this is the first time that you have brought up the subject before the whole public. In addition to this, you are aware that they distribute the funds in a specific order. Do you have any firsthand experience with it? Mr. Gandhi said, “Do one thing — send the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Department to them and carry out a thorough investigation, and don’t be scared.”
Adding to this, he stated in a post on X that “the country is aware of who is the person who is driving and helping the BJP’s pace of corruption.”
Additionally, the former leader of the Congress party stated that “the Congress will give the same amount of money to the people of India through the various schemes that the party has promised.” This statement was made in reference to the money that Mr. Modi had given to two businessmen.
“The situation is shifting.”
“Times are shifting more and more. Friends are no longer on the same side… Following the conclusion of all three phases of the electoral process, the Prime Minister has begun criticizing his own friends today. The fact that Modi ji’s chair is trembling is becoming increasingly obvious. Mallikarjun Kharge, the President of the Congress, stated in a post on X that this accurately reflects the trend of the results. In a post on X, Jairam Ramesh, the general secretary of the Congress for communication, stated that from April 3, Mr. Gandhi has cited “Adani 103 times and Ambani more than 30 times in his speeches.”
The tide of this election has swung so violently that the “Pappa” of “Hum Do Hamare Do” is turning against his own children. This is a very frightening development. According to Mr. Ramesh, the individual who was responsible for the collection of ₹8,200 crore of Electoral Bonds for his party through a scheme that was so flagrant that even the Supreme Court pronounced it to be unconstitutional is now making claims against other individuals.
When it comes to defeat, the outcome is clear. “Even his own shadow is enough to frighten the Prime Minister at this point,” he went on to say.
Priyanka Vadra, the general secretary of the Congress, asserted that the Prime Minister was aware of the fact that people have come to comprehend the fact that he had transferred all of the money to the wealthy businesses, and that his administration had waived loans totaling ₹16 lakh crore that had been issued to the wealthy billionaires over the course of the previous decade.
Rahul does not adopt the name of Adani, Ambani, according to what he is saying today, which is that he is saying. He does this on a daily basis. Each and every day, he presents you with the fact that they have. Every day, we talk about how the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has ties to various industrialists. One thing that you need to be aware of is that Prime Minister Modi has decided to discharge loans totaling ₹16 lakh crore that were issued to wealthy millionaires. In whose name is this money? This is not money belonging to Modi ji. During public forums held in Rae Bareli, she stated that the money in question belonged to the nation.
